De Villiers reveals the bowler he respects the most in IPL

As a 19-year old young bowler, one can only dream of earning respect by one of the best batsmen going around in the world. For Afghanistan leg spinner, Rashid Khan, that dream has become a reality after AB de Villiers not only lauded the youngster for his trickeries with the ball but also revealed the amount of respect he has for Rashid.

As a 19-year old young bowler, one can only dream of earning respect of one of the best batsmen going around in the world. For Afghanistan leg spinner, Rashid Khan, that dream has become a reality after AB de Villiers not only lauded the youngster for his trickeries with the ball but also revealed the amount of respect he has for Rashid.

"No I am batting very well. I am very very happy. Rashid got me out previously. We haven't played a lot against each other but he bowled well and he's a very good bowler. I have a lot of respect for him," said De Villiers, who was in Munbai to launch a new collection of Mont Blanc pens.

AB’s comments were not coming out of the blue and they, for certain did not have any sugarcoating. Rashid Khan demands respect. For the second season in a row, he has had the best in the business playing catch up to bag full of tricks.

On Monday, he foxed de Villiers with one of his trademark googlies. The fast back of the hand wrong’un was believe it or not, too good for even AB, who failed judge the length before jumping on to the backfoot to play a to play a cut shot.

Rashid again played an important role in the Sunrisers’ victory over RCB, that saw the chances of the Bangalore based franchise to make it to the play-offs almost impossible.

AB admitted that Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are on the sixth spot, haven't played well and need to focus on the next games.

"No we haven't played well. It's been very disappointing but four games are left and I would love to not live in the past much and focus on what's coming that is Delhi (against Delhi Daredevils), so we need to win that game and hopefully have a bit of our run by the end of the season," De Villiers signed off.
