New Delhi: Indian batsman Virat Kohli scored his 71st international century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup on Thursday. Kohli, who batted well in the opening matches of the Asia Cup, was dismissed without opening an account in the previous match against Sri Lanka. Kohli completed his maiden T20 International century off 53 balls. He completed his century by hitting a four on the first ball of the 19th over and a six on the second ball. He had earlier scored a century in a Test match against Bangladesh in 2019.
This is his first-century innings in T20 International cricket. Kohli completed his century with the help of 4 sixes and 11 fours. Virat remained unbeaten on 122 off 61 balls. He hit 12 fours and 6 sixes in his innings.

Kohli had earlier scored 32 half-centuries in T20. Earlier, he had scored 3462 runs in 103 T20 Internationals at an average of 50. He played the biggest innings of 92 not out. But now he has reached the century. At the same time, this is Rahul's 17th half-century. He scored his half-century in 36 balls including 6 fours and a six.
