Asia Cup 2018: Disappointed Sarfraz blames team's dismal batting for the loss
Sarfraz pinpointed the flaws in teams batting which resulted in such a humiliating loss
Bangladesh shattered Pakistan’s dreams of getting into the Asia Cup 2018 finals on Wednesday night in Abu Dhabi. After losing to the Tigers by 37 runs, skipper Pak skipper Sarfraz Ahmed blamed the dismal batting performance for the humiliating loss.
In the post-match presentation, Sarfraz said, “We are obviously not feeling good. As a team, we have not done well. Our performance has been very poor. As a player, I have done really badly too. I should have done better. We were poor in every facet of the game.”
“Our batting was the main reason for our defeat in this tournament. There were a lot of batting collapses for us in the tournament. Fakhar is our main batsman, he failed to perform in this tournament and Shadab was hit by injury too. We have to play well to beat good teams,” added Sarfraz.

The Pakistani skipper went on to appreciate the performance of the youngster Shaheen Shah Afridi. He said, “ Shaheen Afridi is a talented youngster, we have given him opportunities to showcase his talent and he has done well too.”
On Wednesday, speedster Mustafizur Rahman’s 4-wicket haul restricted Sarfraz & Co. from chasing down an easy target of 250 runs and entered the finale for the third time in the Asia Cup history.
