Morocco Finish Fourth After A Historic Campaign
While Morocco had a historic campaign at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, they eventually finished fourth after successive defeats in the semifinal and the third-place Playoff match against Croatia. Notably, Morocco had earlier become the first African team to reach the semifinals but lost to France in the semis 0-2.
Argentina vs France At the Qatar World Cup Final
It is Argentina and France who are the finalists of this year's competition. Both these sides too can't really boast of having an unbeaten run. While the Albiceleste were stunned by Saudi Arabia in their first match of the competition itself, France also suffered an unlikely loss to Tunisia.
Both sides though, to their credit, have managed to shrug off that defeat and march forward, eventually making their way into the finals. The stars of both the teams- Argentina's Lionel Messi and France's Kylian Mbappe- have been in great form and have set things up nicely for an exciting finish to the golden boot race with each of them having netted 5 goals, the most in the competition.
