National headlines :-
1. ED grilled Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday for over nine hours and has asked to to appear again on Friday. Congress leaders like Sachin pilot, B V Srinavas and Anil Chaudhury have been detained by Delhi Police.
2. The Supreme Court notified the Uttar Pradesh government that everything should be done in accordance to the law and has asked the authorities to submit a report regard bulldozing the houses of two people involved in protests over the Prophem Muhammad statement controversy.
3. India saw a jump in daily covid cases reporting 12,213 cases in a single dau for the first time in 111 days.
4. The radical recruitment programe Agneepath has triggered rioting in Bihar where aspiring army men are demanding the rollback of the scheme.

1. According to news agency reports, around 500 petrol pumps in Rajasthan are on the verge of closing down and 1000 petrol pumps have completely stopped getting fuel from oil companies.
2. If oil companies don't start giving fuel to petrol pumps then more than 3000 oil pumps will have to shut down in Rajasthan.
3. Private companies like ESSAR and Reliance have also closed 1500 of their fuel stations in Rajasthan.
4. The main reason for this problem is international crude oil price which is at an all time high of $121.70 per barrel.
5. Oil companies in India have not hiked their prices since 6 April and moreover Central government had also slashed the excise duty by Rs 8 on petrol and Rs 6 on diesel per litre.
6. State governments are also incurring heavy loss due to low tax collection on fuel.
7. If the crisis persists then fuel will be sold in the black market which will eventually give rise to fuel prices and every other commodity in market.
