Afghanistan faced a heavy 9-wicket defeat at the hands of South Africa in the first semifinal of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 on June 27 (as per IST) in Guyana. Afghanistan were bowled out for just 56 runs in the first innings and South Africa chased the total in just 8.5 overs.
