South Africa announce 8 Protea marquee players for its Global T20 Destination

Imran Tahir – Imran Tahir will be the among the star players named. He is also the world No.1 T20 player.

Kagiso Rabada – Rabada was the highest bid for Delhi Daredevils but his yet to make a mark for the Delhi based franchise. The speedster has been drafted a marquee player by Cricket South Africa.

David Miller – The dynamic left hand batsman has an experience of leading IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab.

Hashim Amla – Amla on Thursday, smashed his first century in T20 cricket and this comes as an add-on for the South African cricketer.

AB de Villiers – The South Africa ODI skipper has taken the T20 world by storm with his performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore and will look forward to set T20 Global League on fire.

JP Duminy - Another classic southpaw has been drafted as marquee player.

Faf du Plesis – Du Plesis, who leads South African national side in the T20 format will be a star player for his city based franchise.

Quinton de Kock – The stylish southpaw has been one consistent performer for the South African team. He was forced to miss IPL 10 due to thumb injury but he will be happy to named as a marquee player for the Global T20 league.

Each marquee player will be assigned to a franchise of a city with which the player has historically associated or with which he can build a strong association.

Cricket South Africa has announced eight marquee players will represent various franchises in next two editions of the new T20 global league.

This follows the announcement of eight foreign marquee players which was made last week.
