South Africa announce 8 marquee players for its Global T20 Destination

Each of these marquee players will sign a two year contract with Cricket South Africa and along with them each team will also get one South African marquee player each, much like the format of IPL when it was first launched. However, no Indian player was named in the list.

The other two marquee players are former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum and Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga.

Cricket South Africa announced the list of marquee players for the inaugural edition of its T20 Global Destination tournament, slated to begin later in 2017.

West Indies T20 specialists Chirs Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo are among the eight marquee players.

Three players from England have been announced as the Marquee players – Kevin Pietersen, Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan.
