The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) on September 8 (Sunday) announced the India squad for the upcoming India vs Bangladesh 1st Test of the two-match home series. Among notable players making their comeback is Jasprit Bumrah. However, what surprised everyone was the absence of a designated vice-captain, a position which was anticipated to be filled by Bumrah, especially since in India's most recent Test series against England, Bumrah was appointed the vice-captain.
