BCCI announces cash awards for Indian women team

Both the teams will face off for the cup on Sunday at the home of cricket (Lord’s cricket ground)

Earlier, India’s only appearance in the final came in 2005 where they ended up on the losing side.

Indian women’s team has been in a sensational form throughout the tournament, winning 5 out 7, while lost 2 en route to the final.

Taking a note of their tremendous performance in the World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced cash rewards for the team and its support staff.

While, the support staff will be rewarded with 25 lakh each.

India will enter the contest with confidence after having beaten England in the opening game of the tournament.
