Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal and leader of the Trinamool Congress, welcomed President Doupadi Murmu with a tribal cultural program today. She joined performers in a tribal dance and played a tribal drum, and the President was seen smiling constantly throughout the event.

Mamata called on President Droupadi Murmu to safeguard the nation's constitution and prevent a catastrophe. At a civic reception of Murmu, Banerjee praised her as a "Brilliant woman" and said the nation has a pleased legacy of individuals from different networks, positions and beliefs living together as one for a long time.

"Madam President, you are the country's constitutional head. I would like to ask you to safeguard the rights guaranteed by the Constitution for the poor in this nation. At the civic reception, Banerjee requested that the disaster be prevented.

Netaji's grandnephew Sumantra Bose told Murmu about the significance of the historical building, which is where a number of events during the country's freedom struggle took place.

Murmu was first informed, accompanied by Governor CV Ananda Bose, about the historic vehicle known as "The 1937 Wanderer W24," in which Netaji "escaped" from his residence on January 16, 1941. The president went to Netaji's bedroom, study, and "The Great Escape staircase," which Netaji had used to get downstairs to his nephew Sisir Bose's parked Wanderer for him to use as a means of escape.

Murmu left Netaji Bhawan after about ten minutes for a brief visit to Rabindranath Tagore's residence at Jorasanko Thakurbari in the city's center. Bose, state ministers Firhad Hakim and Sujit Bose, and the President were all present when he was received earlier. At this Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, the defense forces presented her with a guard of honor.

Security courses of action in the city were expanded for Murmu's maiden visit to the state subsequent to turning into the President. She arrived at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club ground via helicopter from the airport, where she was greeted by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
