Ranveer and Alia have been garnering a lot of attention for their on-screen chemistry in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', ever since the teaser of the film released.

After their hit pairing in 'Gully Boy', the actors return to the silver screen with Karan Johar's directorial venture to treat the audience to their on-screen chemistry.

Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Rocky Randhawa, the flamboyant Punjabi guy living in a palatial bungalow while Alia essays the role of Rani Chatterjee- the intellectual Bengali who keeps testing Ranveer's intelligence.

The makers of the film dropped the much-awaited trailer of the film on Tuesday that shows Ranveer and Alia switching their families for three months so that they can test their compatibility for marriage.

The film's first song 'Tum Kya Mile' sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal has already become a rage, garnering a million views ever since its release.

The love song of the year is an ode to filmmaking maestro Yash Chopra by filmmaker Karan Johar, who penned a heartfelt note as he released the song, recently.

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' holds a special place for Karan Johar as the film marks his return to the director's chair after a hiatus of six years. The film also releases in the year when Karan completed his 25th anniversary in Bollywood industry.

'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in major roles in addition to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The much-awaited romance drama 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' releases in theatres on July 28.
