Mercedes-Benz Showcases All-Electric EQG at Bharat Mobility Expo

Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off its electric EQG Concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The EQG is an electric version of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G Wagen and represents the future of this off-roader. The electric version is called EQG but unlike other EQ models with a bespoke electric platform, the EQG sits on the same ladder frame chassis which has been modified to fit the motors and batteries. Speaking of which, the EQG has four of them at each wheel and that will give it loads of torque for immense pulling power as well. The EQG will also have an ample range and that will mean that it will match the practicality of the diesel or petrol G-Class. Source: Somnath Chatterjee)

The EQG will most probably be the flagship of the electric range in terms of SUVs while it has been confirmed for an India launch as and when the production version comes. Styling wise, the EQG looks different with many unique touches which signal its EV status. The front has a different look and it even has roof lights which is an LED strip while it also has different wheels.
