We will give you a tour of the turbo petrol model which has a new 1.5l engine with 160ps and 253Nm. Gearbox options include a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual. Hyundai also says that the gearbox has been tuned with the DCT option. Design wise, the new Verna gets a sportier look at the front with an all-black look to the grille design while the turbo also gets dual-tone colour options. The DCT variant gets steering paddle shifters which help in manual control for the gears. It also gets leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, ventilated seats along with heating and cooling function, sunroof, powered driver’s seat, smart trunk, metal pedals too and more. In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, front parking sensors and more. It also gets ADAS Level 2 features which is something not seen on any other sedan. The Verna starts from Rs 10.8 lakh while the top-end turbo petrol DCT is priced at Rs 17.3 lakh. (Image Credit: Somnath Chatterjee)
