Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric SUV Launched At Rs 44.95 Lakh, Shah Rukh Khan Introduces Car With Iconic Pose

Hyundai has launched Ioniq 5 electric SUV in India and the price is Rs 44.95 lakh. The Ioniq 5 is locally assembled which brings the price down and makes it competitive over CBU or full import cars.

The Ioniq 5 occupies a niche in terms of being a premium electric SUV but having a range figure which beats many other more expensive electric SUVs as well.

This electric SUV is based on an electric architecture known as E-GMP platform which underpins all of the Hyundai group premium EVs while this is the first product in India which comes from this platform.

The Ioniq 5 has a claimed range of 631km which is higher than many of the more expensive EVs on sale in India. The SUV gets a 72.6kWh battery pack and a rear-wheel drive single motor configuration.

In terms of styling, the Ioniq 5 is quite distinctive while having a crossover shape. It has a length of 4635mm while having details like 20-inch parametric pixel design alloy wheels and Parametric Pixel LED Headlamps.

The interior uses sustainable materials with eco-processed leather and soft touch materials while the centre console is movable too. It also uses Eco Friendly Fabric being created using plastic bottles. There is also a flat floor, a front luggage space compartment and features like a Bose premium audio system, 12.3-inch screens, connected car tech, 6 airbags and ADAS level 2 features.

Customers can also power other devices with the V2L feature along with fast charging being present. With a DC fast charger, the Ioniq 5 can be charged 10 % - 80 % in just 18 min.

The Ioniq 5 occupies a niche in terms of being a premium electric SUV but having a range figure which beats many other more expensive electric SUVs as well.
