WATCH | Cop, Wife Almost Drown As Scooter Falls Into Drain On Waterlogged Road In Aligarh

A policeman and his wife fell into a drain inundated with rainwater in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The Incident was captured on hospital CCTV.

New Delhi: A policeman and his wife on a two-wheeler fell into a drain on a waterlogged street in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh. The cop, with his wife riding a pillion, was seen near a hospital parking in Aligarh, and the incident was caught on the hospital’s camera. The video which is going viral on social media shows how the cop is going towards the parking area on a road inundated with rainwater.

All of a sudden, the couple along with the scooter are seen falling down into the drain. People around rushed to save the couple and they are pulled up from almost a drowning situation. The scooter is no longer visible and is swallowed by the drain. Due to this, the couple did sustain some injuries.

Dayanand Singh, the victim, told ANI: "We were on the scooter and were going to a hospital. Since the drain was open and inundated due to rainwater, we didn't come to know about it and fell into it along with the scooter. We both sustained some injuries”.
