Manipur Governor Anusuya Uikey on Saturday visited relief camps and met the people in Churachandpur. After her visit she said that efforts are being made to "build bridges between Kukis and Meiteis" in the state. "We are putting in efforts to build bridges between Kukis and Meiteis in Manipur. Along with that, we are ensuring relief materials are being provided to affected people," Anusuya Uikey said, as quoted by PTI.

She also said that the government will be provide compensations to all the people who have lost members of their family and suffered loss of property."The government will provide compensation to people who have lost members of their family and suffered loss of property. I will do everything possible for peace and the future of the people of Manipur," the Governor said, as quoted by ANI.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR in the Manipur viral video case, two days after it filed an affidavit in the Supreme Cort informing it that the case will now be probed by the central agency, reported ANI citing CBI officials.
The news agency PTI reported that the agency has taken over the FIR registered by the Manipur Police against unidentified people in accordance with its procedure. On Thursday, the Centre, in an affidavit, said the CBI would probe the video incident and asserted that the government had "zero tolerance towards any crimes against women".
