Storm Eunice: Thousands Hooked To Livestream As Planes Land Amid Gusty Weather At Heathrow Airport
Pilots struggled to land aircraft at London’s Heathrow Airport as extremely strong winds continued to create disruption in the city.
New Delhi: Millions of Britons hunkered down as Storm Eunice forced them to cancel their travel plans and stay indoors amid high winds and flying debris, leaving the streets of London completely empty.
The Met Office issued 'red' warnings - indicating a danger to life - for parts of southwest England between 7 am and noon and for southeast England and London from 10 am until 3 pm.
Even the UK capital London was placed under its first-ever 'red' weather warning, meaning there is "danger to life".
Meanwhile, pilots struggled to land aircraft at London’s Heathrow Airport as extremely strong winds continued to create disruption in the city. Thousands of viewers around the globe tuned in on a livestream to watch planes making risky landings amid the deadly storm.

Many people camped up at Heathrow Airport to livestream the plane landings as a small number were taking off in the country due to bad weather conditions and strong gusts of winds.
Though it might have been a scary experience for passengers onboard these flights, but it was interesting watching it on YouTube. At a point, more than 2,00,000 people were watching the landings on Big Jet TV’s live stream.
Managed by Jerry Dyer, the YouTube channel regularly livestreams airplanes landing, but the high winds of storm Eunice made the channel an instant hit.
Planes were seen coming in nearly sideways and engines howling while attempting to land on Heathrow's airport.
