Shooting At US's Nightclub Leaves 5 Dead, 18 Wounded: Colorado Police

According to Colorado Springs Lieutenant Pamela Castro, the police received the first report regarding the shooting at the Club Q just before midnight on Saturday.

Police in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Sunday said that a shooting at a nightclub left five people dead and 18 wounded, news agency Reuters reported.

Earlier in August, a shooting incident took place at multiple sites in Butler Township in US' Ohio and four people were killed.

The shootings took place in the small Ohio town just north of Dayton. After the incident, the Butler Township Police Chief John Porter addressed the media and named Stephen Marlow as a "person of interest" and said he is likely "armed and dangerous", news agency ANI quoted media outlet CNN.

Similarly in June, atleast four individuals were killed in a shooting at a Tulsa medical facility, Oklahoma, on a hospital campus. Captain Richard Meulenberg verified the death toll. Meulenberg also stated that the gunman was deceased. The police believed that the gunman's wound were self-inflicted, Tulsa Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish said in a press briefing, CNN reported.

"It's a horribly tragic event," Meulenberg said. "I'm very, very proud of the officers for getting there as quickly as they did, very well potentially stopping more people from losing their life today."

Meulenberg also said multiple people were wounded and that the medical complex was a “catastrophic scene.” St. Francis Health System locked down its campus Wednesday afternoon because of the situation at the Natalie Medical Building. The Natalie building houses an outpatient surgery center and a breast health center.
