Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal's personal Twitter account suspended

New Delhi: The micro-blogging website Twitter has reportedly suspended the personal account of Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal. According to the Pakistani media, the account was blocked late on Tuesday after Indian authorities complained to the website. Geo News reported that Faisal's account was suspended as he was giving his followers minute by minute updates about "Indian atrocities" in Jammu and Kashmir and the Kulbhushan Jadhav case which is being heard at the International Court of Justice. It said that an attack was made on his account two weeks ago as well. Although, Pakistan Foreign Ministry's official Twitter account, which bears Mohammad Faisal's name, remains active. After the Pulwama attack, several Pakistani websites including the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs site was reportedly not working in various countries, for which Pakistan had blamed India. Faisal, was then quoted as saying that they received complaints about the site being inaccessible by users from several countries but was functioning without any problem in the country. According to a report by Dawn the cyber-attack allegedly originated from India. It was reported that an Indian hacker group known as Team I Crew, hacked the websites and shared a list on the social media platforms.
