Newsreader caught 'daydreaming' on live TV and her reaction is priceless
NEW DELHI: We all have been caught 'daydreaming' at work, but it gets a little embarrassing if that happens live on TV.
As reported by Mirror, Natasha Exelby, the ABC newsreader has brought happiness to number of people with her unscripted and very expressive reaction to being caught off-guard while live on air.
In the video shared by 'Media Watch' Natasha was scheduled to introduce the sports segment.
After a prerecorded package, the cameras go back to Exelby which caught her head down and engrossed in fiddling with her pen. Few seconds after, the newsreader realizes that she was back on camera and her reaction to this was 'priceless'. Clearly shocked, her eyes wide open, she lets out a gasp and throws down the pen. But that did not stop her from doing her work, like a true professional she manages to throw to the sports section. The 12-second video, which Media Watch shared on Twitter and Facebook, has been viewed more than 84,000 times. The 41-year-old-reporter is an experienced journalist, who has worked for 15 years as a reporter. “I can understand why people found it funny, and it was certainly me at my most raw. But I also have to take some responsibility here. I’m a professional and what happened was far from professional,” Exelby told news.com.au. A Twitter user even hailed her as Australia's 'national hero'.That feeling when you're caught daydreaming at work :) (via @UmmRKSZ ) #mediawatch pic.twitter.com/lRkTbpygfo
