Kuwaiti TV host fired ‘for inappropriate dress worn during Ramadan’

NEW DELHI: A Kuwaiti game show host has been fired from a state-run TV-channel after the audience allegedly complained about her outfit that she wore during Ramadan. As per reports, Ms Al Awadhi was co-hosting a popular game show called "The Winning Touch".
After the state-owned channel sacked her for her dress, she took on Snapchat afterwards and said Al-Awadhi said: “I heard someone saying, ‘Take Amal Al Awadhi off air now, or I’ll shut down the channel.

“Because my show was airing during Ramadan, I was extra cautious about not going against any of our traditions, I took care of what I wore and how I spoke,” she added. Awadhi’s sacking has led to mixed reactions on social media sites where many supporting her choice of clothing while others are saying that her dress should have been more modest.
