JeM chief Masood Azhar releases audio message against India after killing of nephew
Jaish chief Masood Azhar’s nephew Usman Haider was killed in an encounter in Tral on Tuesday along with one other JeM terrorist.
New Delhi: After the killing of his nephew Usman Haider at the hands Indian security forces, Masood Azhar the enraged chief of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, released an audio tape inciting people against India. In the audio message he incited people of Kashmir to wage a war against India. Masood Azhar’s nephew Usman Haider was killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Tral on Tuesday along with one other JeM terrorist.
The bodies of the two terrorists were recovered after a daylong encounter that broke in Chaanketaar village of Tral in Pulwama district.
The police had not officially identified the bodies, but officers speaking on the condition of anonymity said Haider was among those killed in the encounter. Jaish-e-Mohammed also shared a statement and video on social media identifying one of the killed terrorists as Usman Haider from Pakistan.
Another slain militant was identified as local cadre Showkat Ahmad Khan of Handoora area of Tral in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. The statement was issued by police after completing the search operation at gunfight site.
It claimed that he was heading the sniper attacks in Kashmir for quite some time.
An M-4 Carbine rifle, used for carrying out sniper attacks on security forces, was also seized from the encounter site, making it clear that the terrorists belonged to the sniper attack group.
The intelligence inputs as well as the material seized from the encounter site showed that the terrorists belonged to JeM, they added.
