IND Vs PAK: Former Minister Blames ‘Manhoos’ Shehbaz Sharif Govt For Pakistan Loss In Asia Cup 2022

In the match, seven-time Asia Cup winners India, after winning the toss, bowled out Pakistan for 147 runs in 19.5 overs and then chased down the target in 19.4 overs after losing five wickets.

Following Pakistan’s loss against India in the second match of Asia Cup 2022, former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussian blamed the Shahbaz Sharif-led Pakistan’s “imported” government for the team’s defeat. India took a lead against Pakistan and won the Sunday’s match held in Dubai International Stadium by 5 wickets.

Taking to Twitter, the former Information and Broadcasting Minister of Pakistan took a dig at the Shahbaz Sharif-led government dubbing it “manhoos”(unlucky).

“It's not the team's fault, the imported government is the bad luck”, he said in a tweet.

In the match, seven-time Asia Cup winners India, after winning the toss, bowled out Pakistan for 147 runs in 19.5 overs and then chased down the target in 19.4 overs after losing five wickets.

Team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya starred both with the bat and bowl to help India inch closer towards the win. The all-rounder played a match-winning inning of 33 not out off 17 balls with the help of four fours and a six after taking three wickets for 25 runs.

The match seemed to lag behind in the initial phase when opener KL Rahul returned to the pavilion without scoring a run in the very first over of their innings. However, after this captain Rohit Sharma (12) and Virat Kohli (35), playing his 100 T20I match, shared a solid 49 run solid stand for the second wicket off 46 balls. But the half-century partnership of both the batsmen could not be completed as Mohammad Nawaz first dismissed Rohit and Virat in quick successions to push the Men in Blue on backfoot.

Keeping up with the tradition, netizens took to social media to post funny reactions to the match. One of the users took the two big developments of the day — Noida Twin Tower demolition and the match — in the most creative way.

India will play its next match on August 31 against Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium.
