Freedom Struggle Begins Again Today Against Foreign Conspiracy, Tweets Imran Khan
Khan had earlier also alleged that the US was conspiring against him to oust him and topple the government in the country.
New Delhi: Hours after being voted out from the Pakistan National Assembly (NA), former PM Imran Khan took to Twitter to call for an uprising by the people of the country.
Khan on Sunday tweeted, that it is the people who would have to defend the sovereignty and democracy in Pakistan.
“Pakistan became an independent state in 1947, but the freedom struggle begins again today against a foreign conspiracy of regime change. It is always the people of the country who defend their sovereignty & democracy,” he wrote.

Khan had earlier also alleged that the US was conspiring against him to oust him and topple the government in the country.
He was ousted by a vote in the NA after losing a No-Confidence motion held past midnight.
The political turmoil in Pakistan has come to a turn after months of high voltage drama amidst rallies and calls of a conspiracy by foreign parties. Ahead of the no-confidence vote, Khan and his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called for multiple peaceful protests in support of Khan.
During the no-trust vote, Khan secured 174 votes in the 342 member assembly.
Now, the Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif is likely to be chosen as the new Prime Minister on Monday. Post the no-confidence vote in the Pak National assembly, Sharif tweeted that Pakistan “was finally freed from a serious crisis last night. Congratulations to the Pakistani nation on a new dawn and dawn.”
