Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff was reportedly taken to a hospital after an accident at the time of recording an episode of BBC's 'Top Gear' show.

All-rounder Flintoff left the field of cricket in 2010 and joined Top Gear as a host in 2019. The former cricketer also tried hands at boxing in between. Flintoff was the man of the series in the memorable 2005 Ashes for his heroic effort in helping England to their first Ashes win for the first time in 18 years.

Flintoff made his last international appearance in August 2009 after which he pulled down the curtains on his international career in September 2010. The former cricketer also appeared on a panel show - 'A League of Their Own' - and was a Team Captain along with Jamie footballer Redknapp. The BAFTA-winning show, hosted by James Corden, was a panel quiz show mostly involving questions based on sports. This happened before he announced his retirement which also marked the start of Flintoff's second innings.

Flintoff's contributions to English cricket won him several accolades, including the prestigious Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).
