EAM Sushma Swaraj on 3 years of Modi Government: Major highlights

New Delhi: As the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janta Party government completes three years in power, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday pointed out the achievements of her ministry in three years. Swaraj, who is known for resolving common man’s woes via Twitter, discussed new visa norms while addressing a press conference in the national capital.

• I would like to thank the Prime Minister. Because of his efforts, other nations have become so willing to stand with  India and be there for India when the need arises: Sushma Swaraj

 

• India has close ties with almost every neighbouring country, its relations with the neighbours have improved significantly in last few years: Sushma Swaraj

 

• We are very clear, no third party mediation in talks with Pakistan: EAM Sushma Swaraj

 

• Indians settled abroad, are today proud of their origin. Their confidence is on a all time high: Sushma Swaraj

• Our relations with countries in Asia are at an all-time high. Saudi Arabia and UAE - countries that were believed to be close to Pakistan, now share a very special and close bond with India

 

• Palestine and Israel, who have many disagreements and disputes, look at India as their friend. Recently, the president of Palestine wanted India to mediate talks with Israel

 

• Closer home, India has close relations with Afghanistan and Iran. India is a responsible and trustworthy nation that will do its best to ensure that the middle-east, south Asia and Asia Pacific regions are peaceful and flourishes in trade
