On Christmas eve, Trump asks 7-year-old if he 'still' believes in Santa; gets slammed by netizens

New Delhi: While the world is celebrating Christmas, the US President Donald Trump is facing flak on the internet for apparently killing Christmas spirit of a seven-year-old. Following the Christmas tradition of White House, the president and the First Lady Melania Trump joined the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) call centre to answer calls of kids around America who were eager to know the location of Santa Claus. NORAD does this thing every keeping a track of Santa’s sleigh across the globe. The answer of the US President who is facing a tough time in his presidency owing to his wide-scale criticism for a government shutdown and a number of policies including foreign and immigration policies, wasn’t up to the Christmas spirit as per the netizens. Trump asked a seven-year-old who called up to ask about Santa’s location, if he still believed in Santa Claus. In a video shared on twitter Trump was seen asking over phone “Hello, is this Coleman?” “Merry Christmas. How are You? How old are you ? Are you doing well in school?” Trump asked the caller. Then he ended up asking if the seven-year-old believed in Santa.  “Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at the age of seven, it’s marginal, right.” Followed by a small chuckle, Santa disconnected the call by saying “you, enjoy yourself.” The internet, however, did not chuckle along with Trump at his insensitive question.  “Trump can't hold back his laughter as he crushes a kid's belief in Santa,” an angry user responded.
