A media update will be provided tomorrow.
The police chief urged the community to remain patient while the investigators and law enforcement partners continue their work. "Everything that can be done to bring this matter to closure is being called into service," White added.
Woll's death has come amid the escalating war between the Jewish country Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Times of Israel reported that a public call by a former Hamas terror group leader for global protests against Jews led some Jewish institutions to close or fortify themselves in some areas, including Detroit, which is home to one of the largest Palestinian communities in the United States.
The Detroit synagogue had confirmed Woll's death in a Facebook post. "We are shocked and saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Samantha Woll, our Board President...at this point, we do not have more information but will share more when it becomes available," the statement said, as quoted by Times of Israel.
