After UNHRC Disappointment, Pakistan PM Imran Khan Announces ‘BIG RALLY’ In PoK

Taking to Twitter in the morning, Khan said that he will organising big 'Jalsa' in Muzzafarabad to show Kashmiris that Pakistan stands with them and to sen a message about Kashmir to the world.

New Delhi:  A day after facing a strong backlash by India over its false narrative on Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations Human Rights Council, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday announced a rally in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. Taking to Twitter in the morning, Khan said that he will organising big 'Jalsa' in Muzzafarabad to show Kashmiris that Pakistan stands with them and to sen a message about Kashmir to the world. A day before, ahead of the UNHRC meet, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was quoted referring to Jammu and Kashmir as the “Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.” India tore into Pakistan at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Tuesday for raking up the Jammu and Kashmir issue, saying a country with a "gory record" on human rights had presented "false" and "concocted" narrative and asserted that New Delhi will accept no foreign interference on the internal matter. Despite failing to get international traction on the Kashmir issue, Imran Khan is still desperately trying to raise the issue at different international forums. Pakistan has approached various world leaders, including Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, French President Emmanuel Macron and the Jordanian King Abdullah II to seek their interventions into the issue. However, Pakistan has been told to engage bilaterally with India to end tensions.
