Afghans 'Tie Themselves To Aircraft Wheels' In Desperate Attempt To Flee Taliban-Captured Kabul, Fall Off Mid-Air

A shocking video splashing on TV screens shook the globe as 2 persons were spotted falling off mid-air after they tried to flee by reportedly tying themselves to the wheels of a US military aircraft.

New Delhi: There is unrest across Afghanistan with the Taliban completing the capture of capital Kabul and President Ashraf Ghani fleeing the country amid the turmoil. The devastating situation has spread a panic among local Afghans who now wish to flee the country and move to a safer place.

Shocking visuals have surfaced showing a huge crowd jostling to get into an aircraft at Kabul airport. Another shocking video splashing on TV screens and social media shook the globe as people were spotted falling from mid-air after they attempted to flee by reportedly tying themselves to the wheels of an American military aircraft.

According to media reports, two persons who had allegedly tied themselves to the wheels of an aircraft to escape from Kabul fell to their death. The viral video shows an aircraft flying over Kabul. Two people could be seen dropping off mid-air as the aircraft took to the skies.

Earlier today, at least five persons were killed and several others were injured during a stampede like situation at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. The incident took place when hundreds of people tried to forcibly enter planes leaving the Afghanistan capital.

According to latest reports, it has been announced that Afghanistan closed its airspace for all commercial flights. According to TOLONews, air travel is suspended at the Hamid Karzai International Airport.

Due to this, the evacuation process planned by India has been affected as commercial flights will be on a halt. The Air India flight that was to take off at 12.30 PM IST on Monday cannot operate in Kabul due to the airspace shutdown.
