Super Carry marks the entry of Maruti Suzuki into the Light Commercial Vehicle segment

  New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki, a brand more known for its passenger vehicles, would make a foray into the Light Commercial Vehicle segment via Super Carry, which would be launched to the  market in the end of August. The pilot sales of the vehicle would be done in three cities – Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Ludhiana. Super Carry has been positioned as a robust vehicle, high in strength and performance with a larger loading area along with utmost focus on security. Also, the vehicle comes with Maruti’s reputation of ultimate after-sales support. As per the words of Mr. R. S. Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Super Carry has been designed and crafted taking into account all aspects of customer needs and demands. The commercial vehicle fulfills both the factors of power as well as capacity. The vehicle, in its pilot launch, would be released in three cities via a dedicated commercial sales channel. Maruti Suzuki has invested more than 300 crores in the design and manufacture of the Super Carry, fuelled by diesel, and available in two colors. The lightweight, yet powerful, engine installed in the Super Carry is one of the standout features ensuring maximum load capacity on one end, and agility on the other. The vehicle can notch up a maximum speed of 80 kmph with a fuel efficiency of 22.07 km per liter ensuring optimum efficiency in the form of turnaround time.
