Never Called Sidhu Moosewala Gangster, Have Highest Regard For Him: Punjab DGP
Sidhu Moosewala was brutally murdered in Jawaharke village of Mansa district of Punjab. The conspiracy for this attack was hatched in Tihar Jail.
New Delhi: Punjab DGP VK Bhawra said on Monday that he never called Sidhu Moosewala a gangster. He said that he strongly condemns the killing of Moosewala. The DGP said that such claims are being made continuously on social media since yesterday. A section of the media misrepresented his statement, he said. Giving clarification regarding the press conference held on Sunday, the DGP said that I have great respect for Moosewala. The culprits will be arrested soon and justice will be given.
Lawrence Bishnoi's gang has claimed responsibility for this murder. All aspects of the murder are being investigated in the investigation, said DGP.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had sought clarification from the DGP regarding Moosewala. According to media reports, the DGP had called Moosewala a "gangster".
"Claims and counterclaims by various persons claiming to be gangsters are being made on social media. One Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang (for the killing of Moosewala)," said the DGP.

The Punjab police DGP on Sunday said, "This incident (killing of Moosewala) seems to be a case of an inter-gang rivalry." He added that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the killing.
Somewhere around three weapons and 30 empty cartridge cases were recuperated from the killing site.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sidhu Moosewala, was among the 424 individuals whose security was removed or shortened by the Punjab Police on Saturday temporarily.
Moosewala was left with two Punjab Police commandos after the state police pulled out two of four commandos from his security cover. Notwithstanding, he neither took the remaining two commandos nor his bullet-proof vehicle with him on Sunday.
