Kamala Harris’s Niece Meena, Jay Sean And Lilly Back Protesting Farmers Post Rihanna’s Tweet
After environmental activist Greta Thunberg and Rihanna, Meena Harris tweets in solidarity of the farmers along with Comedian Lilly Singh and musician Jay Sean.
New Delhi: Lawyer and children's book author Meena Harris tweets expressing her support to the farmers who are protesting against the Farm Laws. The tweets comes after Greta Thunberg and Rihanna tweeted in solidarity with the farmers giving the protest an international momentum.

Niece of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Meena Harris took to Twitter and said "the most populous democracy is under assault".
Indian farmers have been protesting since November 2020 against the three farm laws which were introduced by the central government, after musician and makeup mogul Rihanna tweeted in support of the farmers, Greta Thunberg expressed her solidarity.
Aside from Meena Harris, musician Jay Sean and Comedian and YouTuber Lilly Singh also chimed in support of the farmers. Lilly Singh retweet Rihanna's tweet with "#IStandWithFarmers and this narrative is TIRED."

Jay Sean posted on his Instagram and in his Stories he posted a link to a petition in support of the farmers. He expressed how deeply sadden he was by the violence and disregard shown towards farmers who are "old enough to be my grandparents."
Amid the growing international attention towards the farmers protest, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava tweeted an explanation on behalf of the Government of India, in which it stated "Before rushing to comment on such matters, we should urge that the facts be ascertained..."View this post on Instagram
