Kerala Police Find Unnatural Death Of Man To Be Murder With Help Of Digital Evidence

The cops launched a scientific probe on the call history and found that Sumesh last met five members before his death.

Chennai: A 41-year-old man was found dead in front of a shop at Manjapra on the eve of Thiruvonam day (August 20) and initial buzz stated that the death was accidental. However, the Perumbavoor police and rural SP suspected the details after finding a bruise on the body of the victim. Following this, they launched a probe and collected digital evidence from the victim’s mobile phone.

According to a report on The New Indian Express, Sumesh was found dead in front of a shop in Manjapra market and the death was initially concluded as an unnatural death. However, the police still filed a complaint and started the investigation. The cops launched a scientific probe on the call history and found that Sumesh last met five members before his death. On zeroing down the five members, the police found that the death was allegedly due to a brawl while playing card games.

The first accused Saju along with three others allegedly met Sumesh and all of them were playing card games. However, an altercation started between Saju and Sumesh and soon the altercation turned into a fist fight. Immediately, Saju reportedly pushed Sumesh down on the ground, which resulted in the victim sustaining severe injury to the head. The gang then took him to the police station and abandoned him near a shop at Manjapra market.

However, Sumesh later succumbed. All the accused absconded but Rural SP K Karthick found the death to be suspicious. He then decided to form a special team and found Saju from his house at Manjapra. The police then detained six others who were present with the accused and their friends. The interrogation with them confirmed that the murder was due to a brawl.
