Kerala: 10-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted At Kasaragod Hospital
The man approached the girl when her mother was away to buy medicine.
A 10-year-old girl was subjected to sexual assault in a hospital near Kumbla in northern Kerala last week, as said by the police. The incident occurred on November 18 when the girl had accompanied her mother to the hospital. When the girl was alone since her mother went away to buy medicine, the man approached her. He offered to show the girl the lift.
Upon the mother's return, she found that her daughter was missing and later found the child near the lift after searching for her, as reported by IANS.
Following the child's account of the incident, the police registered a complaint. The Kumbla police have registered a case under section 354 of the IPC (outraging modesty of a woman) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. While CCTV footage has been obtained from the hospital, the identity of the perpetrator remains unknown.
