Meanwhile, he also blamed the BJP government at the Centre for removing all Congress stalwarts like Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi from history textbooks and said that the move will not give a chnace to the younger generation to learn much about the leaders.
"Around 50 per cent of people (in the country) are under the age of 25. If you ask them about Jawaharlal Nehru or Indira Gandhi, they do not know. They were born after Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated. How will they know about Rajiv Gandhi or Indira Gandhi?, " Chidambaram was quoted saying by PTI.
