‘Probe Agencies Attacking Businessmen’: Mamata Banerjee Says Centre Doing ‘Politics Of Revenge’

Mamata Banerjee said that the Centre is doing the 'politics of revenge' and that central agencies are attacking all the businessmen.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took a potshot at the Centre on Monday, saying that it is doing the "politics of revenge" and that probe agencies are attacking all the businessmen. She further stated that her family has also suffered due to the harassment. "If you bought something, then how can the Enforcement Directorate investigate it," Banerjee said.

Banerjee further said that the state government has decided to establish three economic corridors in Bengal, and the state will be the gateway to the world.

She also said that some countries have agreed to invest in West Bengal in the near future. Banerjee slammed the media and said that the mediapersons have political influence and try to defame the state by trying to show that communal tensions are prevailing in the state, which is totally wrong.

She said that there has been unprecedented development in the state because land has returned to the state.

Mamata Banerjee urged real estate players to create more opportunities for migrant workers from Bengal working outside the state. She said that the state would give investors a data bank of migrant workers involved in construction work in other parts of the country, which can help in bringing them back to Bengal.

Banerjee revealed that the state government would implement a more liberalized land policy to facilitate development, especially in Kolkata, where land plays a pivotal role.

While virtually inaugurating the Sree Cement Plant in Purulia today, Banerjee said, “Now I want to tell you some things that now we change land policy. With free all policy. In Kolkata, the land is very important. We have a land bank. If the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) is interested they part with logistics and all,” as quoted by ANI.

Speaking at the inauguration, she highlighted the growth and potential of West Bengal's real estate sector and expressed her commitment to fostering a conducive environment for development.

In her address, Chief Minister Banerjee praised the hardworking people of West Bengal, particularly those involved in real estate, for their contributions to the state's prosperity. CM Banerjee also mentioned the existence of a land bank and expressed the willingness to collaborate with CREDAI in logistics and other areas.
