Heavy police arrangement was present outside the court. While escorting the accused out of the court amid have police presence, the agitated crowd tried to attacked the accused while shouting slogans demanding death sentence for Kanhaiya’s murderers.

Two of the accused were, Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad were arrested on Tuesday, hours after they allegedly hacked tailor Kanhiya Lal to death with a cleaver for extending supporting to now-suspended spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party Nupur Sharma for her controversial remark on the Prophet Mohammad.
The other two, Mohsin and Asif were nabbed by the police on Thursday for their involvement in the conspiracy.
As per PTI report quoting a lawyer, the court has ordered police remand till July 12.
On Saturday, the Union Home Ministry said that the murder of a chemist in Maharashtra’s Amravati will be probed by the NIA after it emerged that his killing might be linked to his social media posts supporting suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.
The chemist, Umesh Prahladrao Kolhe, was killed on June 21, a week before Kanhaiya Lal’s murder.
Five persons have been arrested in connection with the Amravati killing by the Maharashtra police who are now looking for Irfan Khan who runs an NGO and is alleged to be the prime accused in the case.
