WATCH | Terrorist In J&K's Shopian Urges Associates To Surrender, Thanks Security Forces For Opportunity

Shopian: In Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, security forces eliminated 3 terrorists while 1 surrendered during an encounter earlier today.
A video has surfaced wherein the terrorist who surrendered is seen urging his associates to do the same.

The surrendered terrorist was identified as Tausif Ahmad and in this video, he is seen urging others to come out of their hideout.
"You are getting an opportunity so please surrender, I also got the same. I am happy. I was also given the chance and they have not misbehaved with me. I urge you to come out, they have said they will not do anything to you. They have behaved well with me," Tausif says in the video.
"I am grateful to the forces, the CRPF, and the police," he adds.
As informed by the police, three terrorists were killed on Thursday, while one surrendered before security forces during an encounter in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police official informed that the security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam area of the South Kashmir district during the night following information about the presence of terrorists there.
As the presence of four newly recruited terrorists of the Al-Badr outfit got confirmed, the security forces exercised maximum restraint and tried their best to have them surrendered.
The terrorists turned down the offer and opened firing; they also threw a grenade on the security forces, the official said.
