The video of Seema’s celebrations come amid a warning issued to her by a leader of Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over her Bollywood debut.
“We are firm on our stand that a Pakistani citizen should not have any place in the Indian film industry. Seema Haider is a Pakistani woman currently in India. There were also reports that she was an ISI agent. Some of the upstarts in our industry are making the same Seema Haider as an actress for fame. Why are producers not ashamed?” Ameya Khopkar wrote on Twitter in Marathi.
Seema and Sachin reportedly met through online game PUBG and later fell in love after which she decided to cross the border to India illegally to meet Sachin. In the month of March, Seema who was already married to Ghulam Haider reached Nepal to meet Sachin with her four children. Subsequently, both underwent a marriage ceremony according to Hindu customs following Seema’s conversion to Hinduism.
On the other side, Anju travelled to Upper Dir district on a valid Pakistani visa to meet Nasrulla. She was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Anju and Nasrulla became Facebook friends in 2019.
