WATCH | 'My Room Is Shaking': Rahul Gandhi's Reaction To Earthquake During Virtual Live Session

Rahul Gandhi was virtually interacting with historian Dipesh Chakrabarty and political science students from the University of Chicago when the earthquake occurred.

A video has surfaced where the Wayanad MP can be seen saying, "By the way, I think there's an earthquake going on".

He looks unperturbed and fact chuckles saying that his entire room was "shaking".

A high-intensity earthquake that hit Tajikistan led to tremors being felt in North India as it was felt across north India in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, the Delhi-NCR and Uttarakhand. 

The seismology department at first stated epicentre as Amritsar but later clarified that it was in Tajikistan. As per the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.3. Fortunately, there were no reports of loss of life or property damage.
