WATCH: India's First 3D-Printed Post Office Inaugurated By Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday inaugurated India's first 3D-printed post office building in Bengaluru. Speaking on the occassion the Union Minister said that Bengaluru has always presented a new picture of India.

Speaking on the occassion the Union Minister said that Bengaluru has always presented a new picture of India. "...This city always presents a new picture of India. The new picture that you saw in terms of this 3D-print post office building that's the spirit of India today. That's the spirit with which India is progressing today...The spirit of development, the spirit of developing our own technology that's the defining feature. All this is possible because the country has a leadership that is decisive & has confidence in our people's capabilities," Ashwini Vaishnaw said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

The minister hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said that in the last nine years the country has developed many new technologies and the 3D-printed concrete building  has been constructed with the same spirit.    

"In the last nine years, under PM Modi's leadership, the country has developed many new technologies, whether it is Vande Bharat or whether it is 4G and 5G. In that same spirit, having a 3D-printed concrete building constructed on-site is a great initiative. It's a technology demonstrator and IIT Madras has done a fabulous work on this," Vaishnaw said, as quoted by news agency PTI.

“Nobody ever thought that India would be developing its own 4G and 5G technology. Nobody ever thought that India would manufacture its complex telecom equipment,” the minister said.

During his address, Vaishnaw also stated that the spirit of doing something which was considered impossible in the earlier times is the defining feature of these times. “The spirit of development, the spirit of developing our own technology, the spirit of doing something which was considered impossible in the earlier times, that’s the defining feature of these times,” he said, as quoted by PTI. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India's first 3D printed Post Office in Bengaluru is a testament to nation's innovation and progress. PM Modi took to X, formerly Twitter and said, "Every Indian would be proud to see India's first 3D printed Post Office at Cambridge Layout, Bengaluru. A testament to our nation's innovation and progress, it also embodies the spirit of a self-reliant India. Compliments to those who have worked hard in ensuring the Post Office's completion."
