Viral Sach: Toilet water used to clean utensils by Indian railways' pantry?
A man posted a video on social media claiming that the utensils used for cooking in train kitchen are being washed inside toilet. Viral Sach finds the truth.
New Delhi: A video has surfaced recently on social media which claims that the utensils used for cooking food in railways' pantry are being washed inside train toilets.
In the video it can be clearly seen that a man dressed in lungi and leather slippers is standing on the toilet seat washing the dishes.
The man doing the dishes could see that he is being recorded but he did not bother to move away. As per the claims the incident is of Sampark Kranti train going from Bengaluru to Bhatinda.
The man Hans Verma posted the video on Face book with a caption asking people to refrain from eating from train’s pantry cars because that was how utensils used for cooking and serving food in trains are washed.
When the railway authorities were approached they presented an entirely different picture. They informed that the man in video is not a pantry worker but is a co-passenger of the man who posted the video.
The man washing the dishes had come with a large group. They had brought their own food. The man was washing the soiled utensils after the group had eaten.
His attires are also different from that of pantry workers.
We tried reaching Hans Verma to ask why did he confuse his co-passenger with a pantry boy, but he kept changing the time fixed for meeting and after some time he stopped responding to our calls.
Thus the video claiming that railway workers wash utensils using toilet water has been proved false.
