VIDEO: In UP, American man accused of raping woman attacks at police with knife

The accused was identified as 52-year-old, Michael James Bojer, and is from US’s Maryland.

NEW DELHI:  Mathura police on Thursday arrested an American national for allegedly raping and attempting to kill a Delhi-based woman. In a colony of Vrindavan Kotwali area, a case of sexual assault by a US citizen came to light. The police had come to his house to arrest him but US citizen started attacking the police with knives. The video clip also shows Bojer abusing the police team. The accused was identified as 52-year-old, Michael James Bojer, and is from US’s Maryland. A Delhi woman, who is pregnant, has accused him of sexually assaulting her on the pretext of marriage. The two had met through Facebook in 2017. The 25-year-old complainant reportedly informed the police that when she asked Bojer to marry her, he attacked her with a knife in response and threatened to murder her. The accused was arrested after a day-long drama. Watch the video here:
