Uttarakhand: Earthquake Of 4.1 Magnitude Hits Uttarkashi In Early Hours Of The Day
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 12-02-2022, 05:03:34 IST, Lat: 30.72 & Long: 78.85, Depth: 28 Km ,Location: 39km E of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand," said the National Centre for Seismology.
New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit the Uttarkashi region in the hill state of Uttarakhand in the early hours of the day, said the National Centre for Seismology. The earthquake took place at around 5:03 AM.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 12-02-2022, 05:03:34 IST, Lat: 30.72 & Long: 78.85, Depth: 28 Km ,Location: 39km E of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand," said the NCS.

No news of damage or loss has been reported.

The state had felt tremors earlier this month also of 3.8 magnitude on February 5. The epicentre of the earthquake back then was near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale. Shocks were felt from Noida to Punjab to Jammu and Kashmir as a result of it.
According to the report by Geo News, an earthquake of 5.9 magnitude had struck Islamabad, Rawalpindi and several other cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 5. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the epicentre of the tremor was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan at a depth of 210 km.
There was no news of the loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
