Uttar Pradesh: BJP Sends Yogi Cabinet Minister To Placate Aparna Yadav

Aparna Yadav, reportedly upset over being appointed vice-chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Women's Commission, is being placated by the BJP.

UP Politics: The post of the UP Women's Commission vice-chairperson was not enough to placate Mulayam Singh Yadav's daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav, who reportedly wanted the chairperson's position.  Aparna is reportedly still upset and is looking to exit the BJP.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is, therefore, trying to persuade Aparna Yadav. Following the Governor's instructions, the Yogi Adityanath government appointed her the vice-president of the Women's Commission on Tuesday. Now, Aparna is not happy with this decision, reported ABP News. Sources claimed that Yogi Cabinet minister Baby Rani Maurya has spoken to Aparna to placate her.

Baby Rani Maurya is the Minister of Women Welfare and Child Development in UP. The Women's Commission comes under this department. According to sources, Baby Rani Maurya told Aparna that she would have full authority and freedom in her work. On the other hand, despite Baby Rani Maurya's assurance, Aparna Yadav is not ready to take up the post. She says that this post is not according to her stature.

Did Aparna contact Shivpal?

Sources claimed on Thursday that Aparna Yadav is upset with the BJP's offer and is in touch with SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav. It is claimed that she has spoken to Mulayam Singh Yadav's brother Shivpal Yadav to return to the Samajwadi Party. Aparna joined the BJP in 2022 before the Vidhan Sabha elections.

After that, Aparna was speculated to get a ticket in the assembly elections. However, the BJP made no such move. Then in the municipal corporation elections, Aparna only campaigned but did not get a ticket from BJP. Before the Lok Sabha elections when it was being speculated that she would get a ticket to contest against Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple, she said that she would not contest against a member of her family.

However, she had expressed her desire for a ticket from the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituency, which was denied to her.

After joining the BJP in 2022, she said that she would be in the saffron party till her last breath and would work for it with every drop of blood in her veins. She said that her commitment was inspired by the BJP's nationalism. It now remains to be seen whether she manages to make a bigger space for her in the BJP or seeks better prospects in the SP.
