Uttar Pradesh: Akhilesh Yadav has summoned meeting of party legislatures today
New Delhi: The Chief Minister of poll-bound Uttar Pradesh (UP) Akhilesh Yadav has, on Sunday, removed four ministers from his cabinet, including Shivpal Yadav.
The decision was taken in the meeting summoned by the CM of the party legislatures on Sunday at his residence.
The meeting started at 10 am and those supporting Akhilesh's uncle Shivpal Yadav, were part of it. In UP, there are total 228 MLAs and MLCs of Samajwadi party (SP).
Those MLAs-MLCs supporting Shivpal Yadav were not invited in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Yadav, a supporter of CM has said that where there is Akhilesh, there is victory and added that there is a conspiracy against the CM. He has also written a letter to party workers.
In the middle of the family feud, elder and veteran leaders of the SP are trying to end this war between the father Mulayam Singh Yadav and the son Akhilesh Yadav. Leaders like Beni Prasad Verma and Rewati Raman Singh have talked with both Mulayam and Akhilesh. Rewati has said that within two days the matter will be solved.
Mulayam Singh may also call a separate meeting of party legislatures on Monday.
Just before the state Assembly election, scheduled to take place in early 2017, the internal family fight between the SP has escalated. Now, it will be interesting to watch how and to what extent it will affect the party in the upcoming polls.
