UP Gangster Vikas Dubey's Mother Disowns Son, Not To Visit Kanpur For Last Rites

The gangster's mother said that she doesn't want to go to Kanpur and reiterated on having no relation with Vikas Dubey.

New Delhi, Jul 10:  After the police arrested and killed gangster Vikas Dubey in an encounter on Friday, history-sheeter’s mother Sarla Dubey has denied any relation with her son and refused to visit Kanpur for the last rites. On being asked by police whether she is keen on visiting Kanpur, she said that she doesn't want to go to Kanpur and reiterated on having no relation with Vikas Dubey. Also Read: A 7-Day Chase Of Gangster Vikas Dubey Ends With Encounter And Killing, Know How The Event Unfolded Madhya Pradesh police arrested Vikas Dubey outside the Mahakal temple in Ujjain on Thursday morning. He was handed over to an Uttar Pradesh police late in the evening. He was being brought to Kanpur from Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain on Friday when one of the cars in the police convoy overturned. The car met with an accident at Bhaunti in Kanpur district and overturned on an isolated stretch according to the police. According to Prashant Kumar, UP ADG Law and Order, Vikas Dubey escaped the police vehicle after snatching a pistol from the Investigating Officer. He was given a chance to surrender but he opened fire after which police had to shoot him in self-defence. Three sub-inspector, one constable & two STF commandos were injured during the incident. In this case, so far, three people have been arrested, six accused killed, seven people sent to jail (under section 120B IPC), &12 wanted criminals still absconding The condition of the three injured police personnel is stable; bullets brushed by two of them. VikasDubey had three bullet injuries on the chest and one on his arm, according to Dr RB Kamal, Principal, LLR Hospital, Kanpur. (With inputs from ANI)
