UP: 6 People, Including 5 Minors, Die Of Electrocution In Bahraich, Says Police

New Delhi: Six persons, including five youngsters, were killed and four were injured after coming into touch with a high-tension wire in this Uttar Pradesh area on Sunday, according to authorities, news agency PTI reported.

According to Ashok Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), four individuals were murdered on the spot and one died while being treated in a hospital, PTI reported.
Later, another youngster, Arafat (10), died in the hospital, bringing the total number of deaths in the event to six, according to authorities.
Sufian (12), Ilyas (16), Tabrez (16), Ashraf Ali (30), all residents of Bhaggadwa in Nanpara, and Shafiq (12) from Malhipur in Shravasti district, according to Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar Choudhary, PTI reported.
According to the officer, family members of the victims have told police that they do not want the bodies post-mortemed because no one is to blame for the tragedy.

Taking notice of the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to ensure that those who have been hurt receive sufficient care, PTI reported.
